My name is Yasmin. I am 15 years old and I am Egyptian.

My mother and I have put this website so I can tell all about my life and the things I do, and also so my mother, Hanaa, can tell you about our experience with EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa), a disease I was born with that gives me problems with my skin. It makes it so delicate like butterflies wings. Very few people have this disease and that is why not many people know about it, especially about how to deal with it. It’s a lot of effort but my mom and I do not let it stop me from having fun and doing the things that are good for me.

Let me first tell you a bit about me. I live with my family, which is made up of my father and mother and my three brothers who are free from EB.

We live in Egypt, you know, where the Pyramids and the Nile are. Actually I live in Cairo, the capital, so we are close to the Nile and the pyramids and sphinx.
